“After many years of casually practicing yoga, at the age of 25 I finally connected with the real meaning that yoga had for me, a practice that would teach me how to be present, balanced and connected with myself while nourishing my body and calming my mind.

In 2016 my travels led me to Australia and then Bali where I did my first teacher training, discovering that I wanted to share this practice… but I wasn’t yet ready to return home. I moved to Australia and found this little paradise, Exmouth. My love grew for the ocean, the abundant wildlife and the relaxed pace of life, so I decided that this was the place to fulfill my dream: opening a yoga studio.

While focused on furthering my knowledge as a student and teacher, life guided me to progress my studies in India. This venture fueled my passion and inspiration for this practice as a way of life and helped me open Inhala Yoga Studio in April 2019.

Along with an amazing group of human beings, who have helped me unconditionally and been by my side the entire way, we have created this space that teaches me there is no limit to learning, growing and loving every single day.”

“Yoga has been my path now for around 27 years and it’s changed me in ways I
never expected.
When I first came to yoga I was a full on gym junkie dabbling in Tibetan Buddhism. I
was also pretty angry and messed up. Then one day I read an article about
Ashtanga Yoga and this teacher, Graeme Northfield, who had healed himself
physically and emotionally through it. The combination of a strong physical practice
and spirituality intrigued and inspired me, so when I moved to Brisbane I looked up
Ashtanga classes and found that Graeme taught in my area. He was one of the first
certified Ashtanga Teachers in Australia, and along with Iain Clarke whom he
mentored, I began my journey into yoga and my own healing.

I practiced Ashtanga exclusively for 10 years, and it then began to evolve towards
Hatha Yoga. I decided to take my Yoga Teacher Training after 18 years of practice
and focus on Traditional Hatha Yoga. I completed a 500hr training with VIYETT in
2015, and have since then completed a 50hr Tantric Hatha training with The Practice
Bali, another 250hrs of trainings with Para Yoga (Rod Stryker) in Sri Vidya Tantra, as
well as in depth trainings in Ayurveda, Sri Vidya Tantric Philosophy, and a 50hr Yin
Yoga Teacher Training with Bernie Clarke.
To me teaching yoga is less about the physical practice and more about the
underpinning philosophy and subtler aspects of the Tradition. I’m passionate about
life, in particular in leading an authentic, fulfilling and empowered life, and it is this
that I wish to pass on to others.

As the Tantrics say, life is a gift from the Divine and I
believe we owe it to ourselves and the world to shine our light and our uniqueness.

Pilates

“The mind, when housed within a healthful body, possesses a glorious sense of power.” – Joseph Pilates

I found pilates, barre and yoga when I most needed it. After being a collegiate athlete in the USA, I struggled mentally and physically after injuring my spine. I was only familiar with high impact exercises, which I could no longer do. After attending my first pilates and yoga classes, I felt stronger and more connected to my body than ever before.
I pursued these practices, along with meditation, gaining a deeper understanding for the body, mind and spirit connection. My vitality was renewed, my soul was nourished and I felt it was my duty to share my newfound knowledge and passion with others.
I moved to Exmouth a year and a half ago with my partner, to explore this magical coastal town where the desert meets the ocean. Not only have I deepened my practice here, I have found solace in freediving and surfing. I hope to provide such solace to others in this community through teaching, as repatriation for all that this town has given me.

I’m a west Aussie born and bred and although I’ve travelled all over the world, Exmouth is still the pick of the bunch for me. Moving from Fremantle to Exmouth with my two young children last year has been a rewarding decision, we have been welcomed into the community with open arms and I look forward to watching my children grow and develop here, enjoying the amazing lifestyle that this special part of the world offers.

I first discovered Pilates in my late twenties after a back injury was causing ongoing lower back pain, my physio recommended I give it a go as an addition to my usual forms of exercise of swimming, running, boxing and yoga. After just one class at the local gym, I was hooked, and the back pain was gone for good just a few weeks later.  I love that it’s a way to strengthen and tone without impact or load on your joints. It reaches and works those hard to get to muscles that are often critical in maintaining functional mobility. The movements are strong yet graceful, and it produces a special type of burn I’m yet to find through other forms of exercise.

Over a decade on and two children later, Pilates continues to be a passion of mine as instructor and a student. It improves my posture, strength, agility, flexibility and fitness. Post pregnancy and childbirth I found Pilates to be the ultimate way to return to my fitness and full body functionality as it has a strong focus on the core and pelvic floor muscles.

I try to keep my classes fresh with new and challenging sequences that not only strengthen and tone but keep your heart rate up as well. I aim to give my students the opportunity to extend themselves beyond their bodies perceived capabilities and I enjoy seeing them head off into their days on high following my classes.

I look forward to seeing you on the mat!

“I was born in the Ivory Coast and raised both there and in Germany. I am a sun kid who loves everything around the ocean, nature and I grew up with the diversity that life has to offer. I started practicing yoga a few years ago and I felt the urge to dive deeper into this Ideology. But I wasn’t consistent in my approach and honestly didn’t know where to start. I felt really disconnected from myself, which lead to inconsistency with my practise and my yoga journey, always knowing deep inside that this would probably change my life one day for the better. I had a lot to heal within myself and that was what lead me to the decision to complete my yoga teacher training. I took the leap in 2022 and completed my first 200hrs training in Bali at Bali KAPHA Yoga, Ubud. Slowly but with more wisdom I started to find consistency and connection in my practice. Without pressure and listening to what my temple is telling me, By nourishing it By pausing By finding peace in stillness I tuned into my intuition and expressed myself in a way I sometimes can not even put into words. It is just magical and healing. It’s a privilege to share my knowledge and gain something back at the same time. I will forever be a student who’s in this world to enfold and share her wisdom gained through personal experiences. I am ready to grow and learn from my new path, ready to know more about my body cause I know it is my only and real teacher and that we are all just beautifully unique in our minds bodies and souls! So let’s flow with love and tenderness together and forever feeling empowered.”

Vinyasa Flow, Yang to Yin & Yin

England
I am from a tiny little countryside village in the South East of England. I grew up in a pub and then on a farm, in the middle of the sticks, driving tractors before cars, making up dance routines in the fields, throwing myself into cartwheels, then into dance school.
I was practicing yoga as a foundation for many things and I didn’t even realise it until years later. Yoga came into my life when I stated training in Dance at aged 14. I decided to make it a lifestyle choice when I moved to London for my Dance Degree.
Understanding my body mind connection has elevated my performance in movement and mindfulness. In 2020 I became a 200hr registered yoga teacher. My drive for this achievement was the passion to share the benefits of yoga with others.
My sequences are inspired by the rhythm of the body, creating flows that really connect as if it were a fluid dance, allowing the ease of transition to ease the mind and to open our hearts and souls.
For me, I believe it is important to be curious, to ask questions, and to play with your boundaries. Creativity and exploration are valuable tools I use and encourage in my practice.
In the middle of my globetrotting era, I find myself here in Australia, fortunate enough to be in a community that loves yoga as much as I do. I have been teaching the unusual (but incredibly cool) Beer Yoga recently in Perth and when I am stationary enough I love to offer free community outdoor classes in various styles of Vinyasa and Yin. In 2023 I made Exmouth my home away from home, teaching yoga on the beach and enjoying the ocean to it’s fullest. I am very excited to be back and teaching yoga at Inhala with the rest of the incredible Inhala family.
There is something so empowering about all coming together to find tranquility. Yoga is a work in as much as a work out and I am here to guide you through it!

Hey! I’m Paige, I am 26 and I am from the beautiful country of Canada.

I grew up on a grain and poultry farm in Saskatchewan – you could say a small town girl with big dreams. I found my way to Australia in August 2022 and I’ve been hooked ever since. Back home I found a passion in personal training, as well as instructing Spin classes and CrossFit.

I’ve always been passionate about group fitness; the motivation and accountability of others is what we all need. I am a big advocate for holistic health – mind, body & spirit. I hope to encourage you to love moving your body, and to leave feeling happy and strong.

I enjoy reading, journaling, days at the beach & moments with friends. I love meeting new people and hope to build a relationship with all who walk through the Inhala doors.

My name is Hayley, also known as ‘Fairy’. Yoga has been my biggest passion and love for over 6 years and I’ve been teaching for over 4 years.

I’ve done trainings all around Australia and in Bali, immersing in everything from, Traditional Tantric Hatha yoga, vinyasa flow, yin, embodiment practices and more! Independently and around the world in resorts, retreats and yoga+surf camps, I have found so much fulfilment sharing the magic of yoga, on and off the mat, with people all around the world.

I approach my teaching in a very somatic way, empowering people to deeply feel their body on a subtle level, so that they may feel more in tune with their intuition and inner guidance. One of my favourite things to share is women’s circles / ceremonies, the power of women coming together and creating magic is what lights me up!

I moved to Exmouth recently after being based in Indonesia teaching yoga and then living down South West ( where it got cold very quickly! ) It was time to start chasing the sun again! I feel really excited to teach at Inhala and immerse myself in the magic of Exmouth community, nature and beaches!
